Welcome to our Appointment Booking page.

Appointments offered through this site are for regular comprehensive examinations only.

If you are a current patient needing an appointment with one of our specialty services – Ocular Disease, Imaging, Advanced Contact Lens, or the George & Judy Woo Centre for Sight Enhancement (services including low vision, brain injury and binocular vision) – please call to schedule your appointment.

As of May 1, 2024, parking in the long-term visitor lots costs $7. For questions or concerns, please contact Sustainable Transportation (formerly Parking Services) at 519-888-4567 ext. 33100 or uparking@uwaterloo.ca.

If urgent care is required, please call our Acute Care Clinic at 519-888-4623.

We strongly recommend providing your health number when booking appointments. This will allow us to confirm if you are eligible for exam fee coverage from the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), which will make your check-in time on the day of your appointment much faster. OHIP covers most exams for individuals 19 & under and 65 & over. Under certain circumstances, OHIP also covers exams for individuals 20 to 64. The fee for exams not covered by OHIP is $120.

NOTE: Our Waterloo clinic will be moving to an interim location at 419 Phillip St., Waterloo, due to construction of the Waterloo Eye Institute. Until the opening of the interim location, expected to be on October 21, 2024, please continue to attend your appointments at 200 Columbia St W, Waterloo.

We also offer comprehensive eye exams and optical services at our downtown Kitchener location.
